Estimated Plus-Minus (EPM)
EPM is the estimated player impact per 100 possessions for the given date. It is now predictive and uses career data up to each point in time. For Season EPM, see the "STATS/TOOLS" tab. See below for more info about this page. For the detailed write-up, click here.

EPM and Estimated Skills are the best estimate of player impact and skill per 100 possessions for the given date. They include data from the player's entire proceeding career leading up to this date (weighting recent performance appropriately for each stat and not including any data from games on the date itself). The stats on this page are predictive, not actual. For up-to-date historical stats, see the stats page or the historical tab on player pages.
The displayed values are independent of game context, such as strength of opponent and home-court advantage, to provide comparable values; however, these factors are considered under the hood for a game optimized version of EPM (and each stat) which is used in game predictions, season simulations, and playoff probabilities.
Values further in the future consider factors such as age, seasonality trends, and current ability, but there is more uncertainty for these values, especially before the season starts.
